Adding and Editing a Property
  • How do I add a property?
    After logging in to your account, go to your Command Center and click on Properties. On the left side bar, you will see an option called Add Property.

    You will then be asked to provide your property's address, name, and set up your website here on ®!
  • How many properties can I add?
    As many as you'd like!
  • What's needed for a basic listing?
    Upon creating a new property in the Command Center OR after selected a currently added property in the Command Center, you can see the "Basic Listing" options on the left navigation. Provide detailed information about your property in this section to ensure your listing is searchable.
  • Why is my property "pending?"
    In order to minimize fraudulent listings on our site, new properties must be approved by a ® team member. Upon adding a new property, you will receive an e-mail will verification instructions. Please follow these instructions carefully.

Payments
  • What is the Payment section of the Command Center?
    The Payments section of the Command Center is a bookkeeping feature, allowing you to track payments received for each reservation.
  • Can I accept online payments?
    ® recommends PayPal™ — a reputable and reliable online payment service, giving users the ability to send money without sharing financial information and the flexibility to pay using their account balances, bank accounts, or credit cards. They boast 137 million active accounts in 193 markets and 26 currencies around the world, processing almost 8 million payments every day.

    Your property's site comes complete with a "Payments Page," available after you supply your PayPal e-mail address. This must be the same e-mail address associated with your PayPal account, or payments will not be received.
Reservations
  • How do I view my property's reservations?
    Go to your Command Center and click on the Reservations link at the top.
  • What are Pending, Active, and Denied reservations?
    All newly submitted reservation requests are labeled Pending as they await your approval. If you decide to accept the reservation, it then becomes Active. The other option is to Deny a request at your discretion.
  • Can I manually add a reservation?
    Yes! Under Reservations you can manually add a reservation by selecting Add Reservation on the left. All manually-added reservations are immediately labeled "Active" and do not require your approval.
  • How do I cancel an active reservation?
    In the Active Reservations section of the Command Center, select the reservation you'd like to cancel by clicking on the blue "View" button. At the bottom of the reservation details, you'll see a red button with the text, "Deny/Cancel." Selecting this option will cancel the reservation and open the availability during the reservation's date range.
  • What are "Reviews?"
    One of the great tools built into ® is our user feedback feature. At the conclusion of a renter's stay, owners will be asked to write a review on that particular reservation. This will help other owners approve or deny future requests based on renter reviews.

  • How all of this can be free?
    Well, there are many extremely successful online businesses that do not charge users a fee - most likely you use a few of those websites. Our answer is simply this; we keep it simple, ® is streamlined and cost effective operating on online advertising revenue.
  • How do I create an account?
    It's simple and only requires a valid e-mail account and your address. Click here to be sent to the sign up page. The first option will ask if you are an owner or a renter. Make sure you select "Property Owner."
  • I am not able to log in to my account. What can I do?
    New accounts require activation. Upon signing up, ® will send you an e-mail with activation instructions. (Be sure to check your SPAM folder for this message.) Follow the instructions in that e-mail to activate your account.

    For existing accounts, if you're unable to log in, try to reset your password.
Property Websites
  • How do I create a website for my property?
    A website here on ® is included with your listing. When you add a property, you will create a website link on this site located at www.getawayx.com/yourproperty

  • Can I use an existing site that I have?
    Yes. You can simply "list" your property in ® search results and redirect users to your existing site.

    Upon adding a new property OR within the property's set up page, you will have the option to supply the URL to an existing site. By providing this site, all search results will direct potential renters to your existing site.
  • Why is my site not live/working?
    Newly added properties are pending approval from the ® team. Once approved, your site will be live.

    For properties that have already been approved, your site may not be live if YOU have disabled it. If you have supplied an existing URL to your new property (see FAQ above), your site here will be disabled by default.

    To ensure it's enabled, go to your property in the Command Center and select the Website option on the left.
  • Can I customize the look of my site?
    You will be able to change the color scheme of your site by select from our color pallate and also upload a cover photo.
  • How can I run online ads on my property's site?
    You can utilize Google AdSense — a free, flexible way to earn money from your ® site with relevant and engaging ads. Go to your property in the Command Center and select the Advertise option on the left for detailed instructions.

    All reservation requests are done through a given property's website. You can search for sites listed on ® by utilizing the search field above or by clicking here.
  • Why is my reservation pending?
    All reservations are pending the approval of the property's owner. After you have submitted a request, the owner should contact you shortly.
  • Why was my request denied?
    All inquires regarding reservations should be sent to the owner. You will find contact information on the property's website.
